In partnership with The Art of Living Black (TAOLB), Leroy Parker’s colorful, abstract paintings convey an organic and fluid approach to creating art. The work also presents a tension which can be found in the flowing, expressive lines that seek to break up the rigid grid-like formations below. The artist’s intuitive approach to the art- making process, sometimes working over an older painting for instance, is very much evident throughout his work. Exhibition is on view weekdays from 9am - 5pm in the Latham Square lobby. 1611 Telegraph Ave., Oakland. Admission is free.
