  Día de los Muertos Crafts Workshop
Learn how to make foil crafts, paper flowers, decorated frames and more!

  Altar Constructing Ritual
Join us to learn how to make a traditional altar for our beloved family and friends who are no longer with us. We will use the crafts from the first workshop and other items.

  Henna Tattoos  
  In this exciting workshop Rachel will decorate your skin with a natural henna tattoo or mehndi. Mehndi is a temporary form of skin decoration most popular in South Asia the Middle East, North Africa and Somaliland .

Presents

Art & Soul: A Photographic Celebration of Culture in the Heart of Oakland

May 14 through June 29, 2007

Gallery visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of Art & Soul, the City of Oakland’s signature Labor Day weekend festival. Images of festival performers will be displayed along with candid shots of festival-goers enjoying the event’s many family-friendly activities. A looping tape will share audio snippets from the festival. Drawn from the event’s six years of photographs, the exhibition provides a comprehensive look at the three-day event through the camera viewfinder.
