Subject: New May Exhibits and More!

Café 817 will be hosting a solo show called “Wings of Spring”, my wild birds paintings and prints beginning on May 11 until July 11, 2007.  The café is located at 817 Washington Street in downtown Oakland and is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday. www.ritasklar.com/birds.htm

The Oakland Zoo presents my Mother Love series in time for Mother’s Day.  www.ritasklar.com/motherlove.htm The exhibit in the Education Building which is next to the Children’s Zoo also includes the Vanishing Species series www.ritasklar.com/vanishing.htm and the birds in flight series.  The exhibit runs all summer from May 11, 2007 to September 17, 2007.  You are invited to a reception on Mother’s Day from 1pm to 2:30 pm.  The exhibit is free with zoo admission.  Children’s activities corner is included.

The Solano Grill in Albany :  My new show of paintings of Latin America and Spain www.ritasklar.com/LatinAmerica.htm are in the wine room on the left.  There were photos and an article in the Contra Costa Times on Sunday, April 29, 200.  The restaurant is located at 1133 Solano Avenue , in Albany , CA , near San Pablo Avenue . This show is ongoing. 

My paintings of abstract landscapes and dreamscapes www.ritasklar.com/abstracts.htm are featured at the Royal Ground Gallery, as part of the East Bay Women Artists show at 2058 Mountain Boulevard in Montclair until June 24.   My paintings are in the back gallery.

Paintings and prints are currently featured in a solo show at the Cornerstone Café, Bancroft at Dutton in San Leandro . 

Visit my studio for Open Studios, the first two weekends in June:  June 2 and 3 and June 10 and 11.  The studio is at 3826 Fruitvale Avenue , between Whittle and Tiffin .  See paintings so new, they are not even on the website!  Also, see small paintings and prints and greeting cards.  The studio is also open by appointment.  Call 531-1404.
